Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Afterride handles information in the Afterride iOS app and the service at afterride.app.
What Afterride collects
Account information
Email address, display name, account and membership identifiers, password-verification records, session records and account preferences.
Motorcycle and tracker information
Tracker identifiers and credentials, motorcycle details you provide, tracker configuration and operational records.
Tracker observations
Time-stamped telemetry sent by the motorcycle tracker, including precise tracker position, speed, heading, GPS quality, cellular signal, power, ignition, movement and supported device-event readings. Afterride may derive rides, recorded places, reporting gaps and Guard records from those observations.
Notification information
Apple Push Notification service device token, app bundle and environment, device name, notification-authorisation state, Critical Alerts authorisation state, and delivery status. The token is used only to deliver Afterride notifications to a registered device.
Security, diagnostics and support
Afterride processes limited request and security data, such as timestamps, request paths, an IP-derived login rate-limit key, and hashed user-agent information. If you contact support, Afterride receives the information you include in your message.
How the information is used
- Authenticate you and provide your private Afterride workspace.
- Receive and display stored tracker observations, ride records and Guard records.
- Send notifications you enable and maintain their delivery state.
- Convert coordinates into readable place labels where configured.
- Protect the service, diagnose failures, prevent abuse and respond to support requests.
Service providers
Afterride uses Cloudflare for application hosting, storage and network delivery; Apple for Apple Push Notification service, MapKit and opening locations in Maps; and Geoapify, where configured, to reverse-geocode tracker coordinates into place labels. These providers process information only as needed to provide their respective services. Afterride does not sell personal data, show advertising or track people across other companies’ apps or websites.
Retention and deletion
Account, motorcycle, core telemetry, ride and Guard data are retained while the account is active or as needed to provide the service. Sessions expire, and some device-event and health history is automatically pruned after 30 days. Security and backup records may remain for a limited period where reasonably necessary. Information may be retained longer when required by law or needed to resolve abuse or security incidents.
You can disable notifications in iPhone Settings. You can initiate permanent deletion of your Afterride account and associated personal data in the app under Settings → Request account deletion. Afterride processes the request manually and confirms completion by email. For access, correction, export or questions about a pending request, contact rando@kall.ee from your registered address.
Security and international processing
Afterride uses access controls, encrypted network connections and limited-purpose credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process data outside Estonia or the European Economic Area under their applicable safeguards.
Children
Afterride is not directed to children and does not knowingly invite children to create accounts.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when the service or its providers change. The effective date above will be revised for material changes.
